This is our 2nd road to Hana trip and the app is excellent. We used the other cd on our first trip a few years ago (also an a+) but this app kept us right on track and knows exactly where u r and updates u with info at the exact time u get to a spot. Not as funny as the other one and no music but definitely a must have as u can depend on it to keep u on track and it gives u great info and history I highly recommend!

We did some research on our own, but the Hana app made our trip much better and less stressful than it would have been otherwise. There were a couple stops that I would have liked better directions to (mainly Keanae Arboretum,) and the app didnt always start talking automatically when it was supposed to. Overall though I would highly recommend it.

This was a worthwhile purchase for our road trip to Hana on the eastern coast of Maui. Without it, Im sure we would have missed several of the stops. This is a fully automatic narrative of the drive. (Our experience was the app had to be restarted the first time to get the audio to play by itself without a manual prompt.). GPS allows this app to work even when cell service is lost on the remote drive. Audio cuts are a little choppy at times, but they arent a huge problem. Spend the $4.99. Youll enjoy the commentary.

Forget getting a tour guide, or researching the road to Hana for hours online, or buying books or mapping things out...this app is seriously a one-stop shop. ...Ive only left 1 review outside of this on the AppStore, but Im doing so here because I feel so strongly that this app is well worth the $5. I was traveling on my own, and this was the perfect companion, walking me through every turn with pinpoint accuracy, directing me to the best stops, ones to avoid, best photo opportunities, and the history of the islands. My only qualm is that I couldnt get it to work when my phone was locked, so the screen had to stay on throughout, so be sure to have a battery pack or a usb hookup in your vehicle. Also, be sure to have an aux cable or Bluetooth capabilities on your vehicle. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ! Thanks!

My wife and I used this app as our guide and it worked perfectly. The map, guide and commentary were exactly on point. I would recommend this for anyone driving the Road to Hana, as it takes the guesswork out and allows you to focus on the actual drive (hairpin turns, one lane bridges, and locals flying past).

The app is a must have if you are driving the road to Hana. Excellent commentary and great advice on when and where to stop. My only complaint is you dont have the commentary on the way back if you go all the way around. This app, like some of the other guidebooks really discourage you from driving the back side of Maui. Im glad I asked a few locals along the way and got the real 411. The views are amazing and its no worse than driving on a gravel road for a few miles - just take it slow.

Our trip to Hana would not have been what it was without this app. The commentary was excellent. I liked that he told you where you were going to turn far before most gps apps do, and also told you helpful places to park. I liked that if you decided to turn down a road off of Hana to check something out, he was aware that you did so and continued with comments about that area. My only advice would be to allow the commentary to play even if the app is not open. There were many times that I tried to quickly use my phone to take a picture, and the app would turn off. That is my only negative!

To be fair, I didnt use any of the other Hana driving apps. However, this app was truly the best thing ever! I couldnt imagine the drive without it. This was my second time to do the drive (15yrs ago) and I saw so much more because of this app. It was extremely precise, informative and educational for our family. A MUST for your Road To Hana.

Such and amazing well informed app that works w gps tracked commentary. Wouldnt have had anything near this kind of experience without it!

This app was priceless in our tour of the road to Hana! It gave better information than we could find in any of the guide books. It also gave you up to date information that was helpful and kept us with in our rental car agreement. The stories were a great entertainment from one destination point to the next!

This app was like having ur own guide in the car w u. We learned so much about history and culture while being directed to some of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. And the practical advice about rest stops and highlights was really appreciated. Thank u!

Excellent and amazing accurate!

Glad we found this outstanding app. Id suggest if in a rental you pair ur phone and get the Bluetooth working before you start the app Only complaint and maybe I missed it. I would have purchased the entire island package for 999 instead of having to purchase desperate trips. You cannot upgrade. Why not? I paid 499 for Hana your let me pay 500 more for the Maui package.

Easily the best $4.99 app I have purchased. Was spot on with all advice given, and made our trip to Hana more complete. It was literally like having a tour guide in your back seat. The mix of directions, suggestions, and story telling was perfect. Thank you so much for making this! It was a true pleasure using it!

Entertaining. Educating. Great directions. Very specific. Helps you plan your time and see the best stuff. A great tour guide that you dont have to share your snacks with.

Theres not enough great things I can say about this app. We just drove the road to Hana today and the app made the trip effortless. The drive itself takes 3 hours and contains 620 turns and 59 one lane bridge, the being GPS driven helped make sense of what we needed to see and what was "so-so" based upon how long you wanted to sit behind the wheel. I highly recommend it to anyone whos contemplating driven this magnificent route.
