This app is an absolute MUST for a drive yourself tour! The narrator, we call him Bob, was an absolute pleasure to listen to throughout the drive. This app allows you to make as many, or as few, stops as you’d like, making sure that you’re aware of the 5 must stop attractions on Road to Hana. The history lesson on the drive back was really interesting and a fun listen as well! Cannot recommend this enough.

Do not hesitate to purchase this guide for the Road to Hana. A wealth of information but easily understandable. Great recommendations, up to date and family appropriate. We also appreciated the history narration.

We traveled from Michigan to Hawaii and did not want to get in a tour bus for the road to Hana. So we took a chance and decided to buy this app and WOW!!! We are SO GLAD we did every detail, every stop was AMAZING. We wanted to DO IT ALL so we pretty much stopped at every stop. We got on the road from Kaanapali and doing all the stops we ended at WAIʻĀNAPANAPA State Park at around 2:45. We had 3:00 tickets to get into the park so it was perfect! We did take the back roads back and did the back side of the crater (the road back was not bad at all there were a few hair pinnturns and low visible hills but the scenery was worth every minute!!! I suggest to DO IT ALL! We left at 6:15 am got back at 8:15 pm Yes…14 hours but OMG WORTH EVERY SECOND! And SWIM in the waterfalls!!!

All you need is this app! It’s like having a live tour guide in your car. We had the best day on the Road to Hana (and beyond). Enjoyed learning about Hawaii’s history on the drive back.

So glad we purchased this!! Decided to take the Road to Hana and we purchased this app to help with the drive. The app was great! It gave told us with plenty of time stamps and when to stop at each place, the app also was great and entertaining for us and our tween/teenage boys! Definitely worth the purchase!!

We were so glad we downloaded this guide to the Road to Hana! We would have missed so many interesting things on the journey and the little tibits of information were so helpful and fun. The guide was invaluable to help us know the must do’s and alternate options. It was awesome to have the app know where we were so the instructions were right on cue. I think this app is an absolute must for anyone driving the road on their own.

That is the best audio tour we have ever taken. Well worth the price. The guide was entertaining and informative. He provided tips, stories and history. He also suggested where to have dinner afterwards and it was a reasonably priced 5* meal.

What an amazing experience. We thought this app would give us a few stops along the way but it did so much more. We loved the tour guide and all of the history and he made the 11 hour journey so much more pleasant. One thing I have to note is how wildly accurate the GPS is. It would literally say things like “in 30 feet you will see x” and every single time it was spot on. Truly impressive stuff. Will definitely use this again for any other tours they offer. IMO it’s one of the best apps I’ve ever paid for.

Felt like someone who had driven the road to Hana thousands of times was in the backseat. Worth every penny especially since you can’t look up anything via wifi while on the road and the app was perfect for while we were driving and trying to take it all in. It’s more than worth it.

We have used this multiple times, and it makes the Road to Hana so much more enjoyable. Just downloaded the app again for our trip to Maui next month. Can’t wait for the Road to Hana, it’s our favorite part of the trip!

We were visiting Maui and decided to get this app for our trip to Kipahulu via Road to Hana. The best money I have spent. The app uses your GPS and guides you along all the interesting places and stops along the route. Even on the way back it narrated the history of Hawaii in a very interesting manner. Highly recommended if you are taking the Road to Hana.

This was the best investment my family and I could make, outside the car rental, for our “Road to Hāna” trek while on a trip to Maui. The app was great, it kept up focused, prioritized the site seeing, and was enjoyable and informative. We loved it as a resource and guide. I would give it 5-stars!!

We found this app extremely helpful and educational for our self guided tour on the Road to Hana. The directions were exact. Hints on what to prioritize for our journey were perfect. We'll definitely be on the look out on future trips to see if this developer has them for our next adventure!

The app was spot on with suggestions for stops and a wealth of information and history along the way. Definitely worth the money and enhanced our trip.

Awesome addition to a road to Hana trip! “Marty” does perfect amount of talking (not too much, not too little!) and give you ample time to discuss stops before they come up. Super informative. Really really recommend!!!

This app is like having an incredible storyteller in the back seat of your car on the road to Hāna. It is incredibly well done, giving you heads up about options well in advance so you can discuss what you want to do, has content for all sorts of variations on the route and seamlessly adapts to what you end up choosing, and has impeccable timing (eg. he’ll speak up and say around that next turn to the right, you’ll see … and the timing is perfect and natural). Highly recommend! This is the first time I’ve wondered if there was a way to give a tip to an app 🙂

Must have on road to Hāna trip. Entertaining to listen to historical commentary. Would recommend. Also makes easy to find must see attractions and where to park.

If you’re discouraged by the price, just know this is a necessity for road to Hana. This guide is extremely informative and entertaining. It makes the long drive more fun and a lot easier. The road to Hana offers a lot of activities and it’s hard to memorize all of them. He points out all the good spots and educate you on the history and development of some of these iconic spots which makes you appreciate the drive even more. I was a little skeptical at first when debating to buy this app and I’m glad I did, highly recommended for anyone doing the drive. Just get it, any other tours are more expensive than this.

Absolutely fantastic!! Well worth the money, great narrator, great storytelling and SO informative about the route, stops, and local culture as well as Hawaiian history. The narrator made it feel like he was traveling with us. Can't wait to have him guide us in other locations!!

Wow just wow!!! This made my trip to Maui the best. I read about this app and let me give you the best about this. 1. Works without Google Maps 2. Awesome narrator 3. Narrator perfectly aligns with your car position from I think Satellites pinging your phone 4. One way gives you details of must to stops and opposite direction of the drive gives you Hawaiian history. Hands down best price paid for something Trip Advisor can’t match for $14.99.

We were not aware of the reservations required for the black sand beach. Missed out on the highlight of the trip in our once in Maui trip. Really disappointed.

Overall, I love this app. It worked like clockwork on our tour of the road to Hana, I highly recommend it.

This was so helpful and entertaining with the limited signal on the road to Hana. The navigation was impeccable and the stories were pleasant. Would highly recommend to make your road to Hana navigation convenient and insightful.

This was the 2nd time driving the road to Hana and this app made this trip 100x better than the 1st time! We learned so much not only about the road to Hana but the culture and history of Hawaii too!! It made all the twists and turns tolerable. I felt like we were on a real tour without being on an actual tour with other people. I plan to download and use it for other places too! This app was genius!! I loved how it gave directions and pointed out where to drive and explained things as we passed them by!! Must have if you plan to drive the road to Hana!!

Nothing but good things to say about this app! It was truly like having your own personal guide riding along with you in your car. Very informative and even gave us some hawaiian history on the way back. Highly recommend and so much more affordable than booking a tour guide.

Great audio description of all the sights to see. We all enjoyed the history lesson too. The best thing we learned is driving etiquette for Hana. This is a MUST have when visiting any island. The narrator’s voice is charming and engaging, without being annoying. Worth the double click to buy.

We’ve used several of these guided tours and it’s so easy and adds so much to the enjoyment of the drive. And I love that it’s different coming and going. We’ve used the same app (and same narrator) in Yellowstone with great success!

This audible tour was so worth the money. The narrator gave clear, concise directions and suggestions. I really enjoyed his history of Maui as well. He gives you the 5 must places to stop on The Road to Hana and highlights the other stops as well. I just received a beautiful message from the developer of the app, thanking me for the review, which makes me love this app even more. So personalized!

The narrator on this app is the BEST! His voice was soothing but enthusiastic. The stops, tips, and recommendations were fantastic throughout the trip. We had zero issues with it being downloaded and routing us through the 10 hour excursion. On the way back, they point out the highlights (in case you skipped any points) but mostly give the history of Hawaii which was interesting and kept us entertained going back from Hana. We loved the app so much, we wish we had it on through every road in Maui. 5 stars definitely deserved.

We used this and were so impressed with it! Highly recommend. We were about to go in nearly blind and so glad we didn’t. The only thing I would add is that we stopped at Garden of Eden which was $20 a person. And the Arboretum was free and indicated a “must see”. Had we known one was free and the other was costly we wouldn’t have stopped at the garden of Eden. In the end, no regrets!

What an amazing experience. The app works great, and the information provided was very helpful and entertaining along the way to the Maui In Road to Hana. We also enjoyed the great history on the way back to keep us entertained. I usually don’t buy apps or do any in app purchases for anything. I don’t leave reviews ever, but I feel strongly about this app. But this was 100% worth it as many have said it’s like having a tour guide in the car.

Can’t reply when going to the place

Bait and switch. The App Store said can share with family but the upgraded app doesn’t have that feature. If I can find a way, I will get my money back.

This app takes you to all the major and minor spots to stop along the way. The commentator speaking is incredibly accurate and well informed. Adding history of the state and fun facts along the drive that help pass the time. It’s a long tour, but when you see these sites you will be awe struck and so glad you took the time. Head out by 7am, and plan on going slow and easy. Respect the locals that commute on this road and get out of the way. Help the locals and shop local to help support them after taking back to back hits from Covid and the terrible fires that scare parts of the beautiful tropical landscape. This will be an amazing adventure, but bring hiking shoes and sandals because it’s a mix of both terrains. Aloha!

Amazing app

Used this app for the classic road to Hana guided tour, and it was amazing. So informative, learned a lot of history on the way, and worked out where we had no service. The app is set up to give info/directions as you approach each different sight. Gave us tips on local manners for driving the road, and the narrator was quirky and funny! Would recommend this to anyone doing the road to Hana in Maui.

A must have to get the full experience driving this one if a mind road. We were not only entertained but educated by countless facts about Maui and history of Hawaii. This app made the travel so much more enjoyable. Get the full Maui package which should have upgraded to as just so helpful to find hidden gems! Thank you for putting this together. We loved it!

Having this app really made the drive to Hana enjoyable and very interesting. The turn by turn directions, the turn out locations, where to look and things to see were great. The narrator was entertaining and I laughed out loud many times. Giving a bunch of options along the way was nice. The information on local folks helped too. Some information might be a little dated as the sacred pools have not been open for swimming in 6 years. We probably wouldn’t have gone the extra miles if we would have known. But overall good job I would look for you at other places. Thanks

Incredible direction, commentary and tips and tricks to driving the Hawaiian winding roads. We never would have seen or known half of the things this day has to offer without this app. Highly highly recommend!!

The app did an excellent work on having all the details during the road, with great tips on what to expect while arriving to every point. The narrator (we called him Bob) was outstanding. He was telling the story in such way that we had the sensation that we had a great friend “Bob” riding in the car with us pointing out everything we need to see. Great voiceover Bob!!

Used this today to navigate the Road to Hana. It was AMAZING. Great information, wonderful narrator and a lifesaver in no coverage zones!

The narrator is very informative, entertaining and very energetic. The Road to Hana tour guide was better than I expected. It provided timely directions and with very accurate timing on what to expect at every turn. We were able to easily make all the important stops along the journey. On the way back from Hana, we were provided with great historical lessons on the origins of Maui. Wow!!! Mahalo for making it a great journey.
