To be honest the drive might have been a bit tiresome but the apps tips, info and history made it an amazing trip! Dont even THINK about driving it without the app!

Having this app to guide us on our way to Hana made all the difference! From the great tips on where to stop (and which we would be fine to take a miss on), to the 5-absolute-must-sees, to the interesting bits of Hawaiian history from the area, we were always grateful each time a new commentary started. The audio of the app was timed perfectly with each area we were about to arrive at. I wouldnt hesitate to buy any of the apps in this series!

I consider this my worst app. I ever paid for. Needs to be better programmed for how it works as you click through the arrows which they could better align with using mile marker numbers. We got frustrated using it and went back to the travel book because it gave more information and a better description of the stops. If I could get my money back I would. This app. is going to be deleted as soon as possible. Its not worth it. Stay away. the first few commenters have likely not used the app as the ratings are so high.

I purchased and used this app recently on my trip to Maui and it worked perfectly as directed. Just load up the app and it automatically tracks you and the audio automatically plays as you approach each location. It guides you and lets you know as you are approaching a sight. In addition the commentary and history provide great insight to the island. This app is a must have if you are doing the Road to Hana. I would also recommend you personally research what you would like to see to plan what you want to see or skip.

I would love to tell you that this app worked but it didnt. It was fun for the first 10 minutes and the it stopped working. We actually missed stopping at some of the key places. It was informative but most of the time we didnt know where we were & had to pull out a trustworthy map. Not worth the money!!

Well worth the money! We had no troubles using the app (even with roaming data turned off). Gave good tips and pointed out nice places to stop. Highly recommended!

As we started the drive we received the message that the narrative would start as we approached points of interest. We saw our location on the map at one time and then it disappeared and we never heard any other audio. It was a complete waste of money and frustrating. I wish I could return the product. Don’t buy it.

This app is phenomenal! I think of the narrator as "Robert". He was informative and funny, easy to listen to. Without him, we would have missed so much. Loved all the historical references and what seemed like casual "hey, by the way..." comments. Highly recommend not to travel without "Robert"!

I would recommend this app to everyone that takes the road to Hana trip. It made the trip fun and interesting ! We would look forward to what he would narrate next

The Gypsy guide for the Road to Hana. The information and directions were informative and accurate. GPS interaction worked flawlessly, with instructions on upcoming attractions timed with the drive. Highly recommend.

Didnt get a chance to plan Hana and downloaded this last minute and it saved our drive! Lets you quickly get on the road and plays hotpoints as your cross them without the need for data, just a cellular signal will do. Has great information and is a great companion on the drive. Definitely would recommend the download!

You can hire or tour guide or download this for $5. Recording is very well done. Informative and interesting. Easy to listen to. Listen on the way back for a cultural history lesson (believe it or not thats interesting too).

This excellent ap allowed us to do the road to Hana without forcing my spouse to keep her eyes on the book which would have surely induced motion sickness.

If your going to do the road to Hana , this is a must have app. Fantastic. I dont review apps but had to do this one. Creator deserve my thanks for making my families experience just like we had a private tour. Good job !

We recently used this on our drive to Hana, Maui. We wanted to see the important highlights as we only had the day to do it. This app recommended 5 stops which we did and it was perfect. I felt like we learned a lot along the way and each stop was easy to find. Not sure what we would have gone without it! Highly recommended.

Great guide. Very informative and accurate. We relied solely on this tour for the drive and everything went smoothly and we saw a whole bunch of stuff we would have missed. Also learned some history on the way back. I will now look for these guides on every vacation with a drive.

We downloaded the ap so we would be sure not to miss anything on the road to hana. The ap clearly could pick us up as the blue dot was locating us the road most of the trip but none of the arrows triggered to give us information even when we clicked on them

We purchased the app on March 30, 2016 and drove Hana Hwy the same day. Our only complaint as we were using it without wifi so it could not detect our location and it did not have mile markers in the presentation. We had to rewind some of the dialogue in order to keep up with our drive. Not a bad app if it was free, however for 6.99 it should be flawless.

The information is great if you are following along with a cellular reception plan but is very difficult to use if you have no reception as most tourists do not and if the gps doesnt work on your device the app Is useless as it has no mile markers on the map supplied Only a continuous reminder of what highway you are on, include mile markers in future updates and lower the price for this atrocity until then

No need of any trip planning... Just start this app and rest assured that everything is taken care of.... Almost like a personal tour guide!!! Highly recommend for your first time road trip to Hana.
