This app even told you where the best place was to park. It told you when you were coming up on scenic areas, what to watch for and narrated great stories on the way there and even on the return trip. Highly recommend it.

Excellent commentary, spot on directions, and the app worked flawlessly. It would be nice if he added information for driving the back side. We didnt because it was getting dark, so we listened to the Hawaiian history lesson on the return trip, which was very informative and enjoyable. We plan to drive the back side next time though!

This made our trip. I highly recommend using this. We learned so much to and from Hana.

I wish there were more places that we could use this app. It was great to have.

The trip would not be the same without this app! I totally recommend buying it! The app was super helpful and entertaining. Definitely worth the $5! My only suggestion is that the app would continue playing when it is not open. I wanted to take pictures but I couldnt because the app was playing. But overall, it was an AMAZING app!!!!

We would have been clueless and lost without this app. Worth the $5!!! I never write reviews for apps and I never purchase apps. Made an exception for this app bc it came recommended and I loved it so much I wanted to share. Definitely go through the preview before you arrive so you know how to navigate it. Bring an AV cord to hook up to your rental car for better audio. We met people along the way who had a CD and they were lost. This app has the GPS navigation so it knows exactly where you are. You WILL lose service but not with the app bc its native. I felt like the guide was in the car with us. He was pretty funny too. Not boring and cheesy. Highly recommend!!!

This is my second trip to Maui and to Hana. I wish such app existed back then, but smartphones werent invented back then. The trip was on a whole different level with this app. Cannot recommend it more!

This is the best money I spent on my entire Hawaiin vacation. The App is very accurate and highly informative.

Excellent app. The best spent $6.99 or what ever is coated in a long time. We wouldnt have enjoyed the road to Hana half as much without the app.

This app is worth so much more than the $4.99! The way it automatically gives you the information using the gps was great! Phone service goes away, but this makes your trip a lot less stressful and way more fun!

All the rave reviews made me choose to buy this app, and we were not disappointed. It was VERY helpful. We would have parked in several dangerous spots, or missed a great site to see, if it weren’t for this app. It would let us know ahead of time, that the parking was 100 yards PAST the waterfall or arboretum. That was critical information. We agree about it’s must see spots. We followed suggestions to start out before 8 (7:20 from Kihei), we hit the must sees and a few others that sounded interesting to us, went all the way to Haleakala for the pools at O’hei and the pipiwei Trail, and we got back to Kihei just after dark. Only improvement I would suggest to the developers is to let us zoom out on the map and select arrows to listen to further ahead if we want. Because the map kept updating, you could only zoom out for 1 sec, often not long enough to check out what you wanted to. It’s also unclear to me why the app shuts off every time you use another app. We didn’t realize it did this until we nearly missed one site. But even with those annoyances it’s a really really great app. Be sure to download it over wifi, because it is large enough to insist upon that. And wifi was not available where we were staying. So I recommend downloading it before you leave home. Then the app is able to run following your GPS, even when you have NO cell service, which is most of the drive.

WELL WELL WELL WORTH the purchase for the road to Hana- we wouldve missed SO much if we hadnt used this guide! The voice is great- the spacing for the stops is perfect and you get to learn about the history of Hawaii! The only thing I wish you could do it choose your start point or zoom into the map a little better. But dont let that deter you- this app will make your drive on the road to Hana 100x better!! Will be hoping theres a gyspy guide for every road trip I do!!!

Worth the $5!! This was seriously the best app!! We couldnt have done the Road to Hana without it! Lots of great information and facts about Hawaii. Very detailed in the directions, we never got lost!! Make sure to bring an auxiliary cord to hook up in the car!!

Fantastic app! I never submit any reviews for apps but I felt it was absolutely necessary to share my feedback on it. The $5 bucks was totally worth it! Great guide - it told you about places you wouldnt have known to stop, places to park and what I really appreciate were the top 5 must see stops. Pace was perfect, commentary was fun and full of details - the history of the Hawaiian islands and people for the drive back was also fun to listen to. It made the drive back bearable! :) Totally worth the 5 bucks! You really dont need to pay for an expensive tour if you have this app. Totally love it and plan on upgrading this app! Just remember to bring a charger since youre battery will drain. Youll lose service on your phone, but not for your GPS.

No gps service, no problem. Great app. We loved all the commentary and history. Like driving with a personal tour guide. If youre spending the money to go to Maui invest the $5. Insane not to.

Truly a great app! The Road to Hana is beautiful and worth a drive, and this app really makes it fulfill its true potential. The narrator is funny and interesting, and he points out all of the important and worthwhile stops throughout the day. He lets you know where you MUST stop, and where you should stop only if youre really into it. On the drive back, he makes the hours pass as he tells you the whole history of Maui. Its really truly entertaining and so helpful, and I am positive that we wouldnt have enjoys the day as much as we did without the app. I love that it was all native to my phone and didnt need great signal to work (since it gets kinda spotty in the rainforest). I seriously cant rave about this enough. A must have for your drive!
